Snow tires in Massachusetts 2 or 4 what's the law ...

snow tires in Massachusetts 2 or 4 what's the law?  I have a 2000 chevy cavalier.  Am considering buying snow tires, to put on the front, since the car is a front wheel drive.  Is this okay?

Before I saw your question, I thought snow tires had become extinct many years ago.  The "all season" tires that are sold nowadays are plenty good enough for the worst snow conditions.  I live in Michigan, and I never used snow tires, and don't know anybody who does.  Never seen them on sale in the newspaper, even during the winter season.  In answer to your question, I think it is perfectly okay to put two snow tires (if you can still find them on the market) on the front. You can easily check with the Department of Motor Vehicle or the Secretary of State office to see if these are legal.
