how long are krusteaz boxed mixes good for. I have a cabinet full from my aunt dating back to 2005.  Are they safe to use?

Instant Person-Just add coffee.

I wouldn't think they would still be good.    They are 5 years old, and the yeast probably has lost its ability to raise the dough.

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

They are probably safe, if the inner bags are uncompromised.  I would visually inspect the mix to make sure there's no buggies.  Now, whether the levening will still make the product rise is another question.
