Is there such a thing as safe sex? Surely there is always the risk of infection or pregnancy unless you have a long term partner?

No there really isnt anything thats 100% safe sex... even condoms only prevent certain things... herpes and HPV (venereal warts) crabs and a couple others can not be prevented by use of condoms... some can even be transmitted without even having actual intercourse.... so there really is no such thing as safe sex... only safer sex practice.... good luck:))

Just to elaborate on what Gemini Girl said, there is no contraception method that is 100% effective. The Pill is 99% effective as birth control, condoms are 98% effective and Depo Provera is 97-99.7% effective as birth control.
