Is it safe to delete every virus?

after an anti-virus scan it said i had one, however in quarantine it shows four but they seem related as to where it says they are(system mechanic)this i have had to uninstall as it now no longer works. I have re-installed it but it still will not work, it says it can't find the programme although it is there. Anyway, as my pc gaurd could not dissinfect the virus and they are in quarantine, Is it fine to delete them. I ask because i have been told deleting them can sometimes have negative effects, also you get the message "Delete this virus and you will not be able to restore it?? Please help!

Always know what you want.

I always delete viruses that my anti-virus program finds and have never had a problem doing this.
