Answer 5 out of 5

A:

A few years ago I had a 1000 books in a wonderful collection. I loved each and every one.

Then because of a break up and having less money i had to move to a different apartment, I found myself seeing one apartment after the other and my first reason to rule out each apartment was "But there will not be any room for the books". After a couple of weeks I realized that this was stupid. I was supposed to enjoy the collection, not suffer because of it.

And so I cut it down. it went from a 1000 to 400, and then, later when I moved to the USA, to about 20-30.

You know what? once the initial process was done, as painful as it was, I felt very liberated and free.

There is no reason to have any possession you are not using. As much as you love them. There are only a certain amount of cloths you can wear, right?

If you enjoy shopping and changing your collection often, just follow this simple rule - for every item you buy, get rid of one. This is what I do, it keep my collection up to date and not get too overwhelming and huge.
