Personalize Yedda, (And make Danny Happy)

I'm interested in:

No rude answers just read this and tell me how you intrepret everything Wendy said

READ  this and tell me how you interpret everything Wendy said
So can Stacy accept Wendy's answer that she thinks Stacy is tall and thin and between sizes 2 and 8

Tonight Stacy telephoned Wendy.

Stacy: “My sister is a snob and will not shop in stores unless she can spend a lot of money.“
Wendy” I have a friend like that as well, she will only buy things that are expensive. Today I bumped into her and she showed me a blouse she purchased for $95, but it was ok looking”
Stacy: “Again my sister is like that she has to spend a lot”
Wendy "Is your sister thin, heavy"
Stacy “heavy.”
Wendy "Maybe that is why your sister spends a lot because she is heavy she has to get clothes that fit. We are like my friend average"

This got Stacy upset the average part, because every one always tells Stacy she is thin.

Stacy: “Wendy you always tell me I am tall and thin.”
Wendy: You are tall and thin.  But what I  mean by average is that we don't need a specialty store that we can go into any store and buy off the rack. Whether it is 95 dollars or 95 cents.

Stacy: “But I still do not understand average”\
Wendy "We are not anorexic or heavy, we can go into any store and buy off the rack, your sister cannot, average can be anywhere from a size 2 to 14" I

Stacy: “But you said to me that I am tall and thin
Wendy: “You are tall and thin, you are far from being heavy, have you looked in the mirror.  We are not super skinny or overly fat. You are tall and thin"
Stacy: “You once said to me that you think I am any where from a size 2 to 8"
Wendy: "I am not good at sizes but if I have to make an educated guess I would say between 2 and 8"
So when they were about to hang up
Stacy "Just confirming tall and thin and between size 2 and 8"
Wendy: "Exactly"

LOL JK, no comments huh, admit it, she got you on this one. Let's face it, we're hooked (OK, I'm hooked) on what VP's next clothing scenario is going to be. I'm even beginning to lay awake at night visualizing her in different styles, wondering where she bought each outfit, whether or not her mother approves of what she's wearing, whether she's mixing things she bought at the thrift store with something she bought new but at thrift store prices, what her friends think of the way she appears vs her actual size, and most of all, I can't stand not knowing how things went at the job interview she went on. VP, your killing me here, what did the man (or woman) conducting the interview think of your outfit, and did you get the job??? What did your mother say when you got home? This suspense is unbeaable so give me some feedback please.

OK now the answer to your question, after studying the transcript several times (you do have this on tape right) I am convinced that Wendy is so inconsiderate she doesn't think of any size but her own unless confronted. Now what kind of friend is that? Once Stacy let her know the importance of one friend knowing the ACCURATE size of the other, to the nearest 6 sizes (8 -2 = 6?) Wendy knows that Stacy can buy inexpensive clothing and look great wearing it. Her size 16 sister however, thinks she must buy expensive clothes to look good, even though she could go to the nearest thrift store and buy off the rack and look just as good (or not) for lots less money.

That's my interpertation VP and after my thorough analysis I'd really appreciate knowing if I'm in the right ballpark. Thanks to you, I am really getting into this clothes thing.

I would just not worry about it and focus on something else.

Voterperson is unable to not worry about it, Grant.

Voterperson is in her 50's, yet she has so little self esteem that she obsesses over her clothes and her size because she uses them both as a shield and as a way to feel good about herself.

She has so many clothes that she cannot possibly wear them all - and she is forced to store many of them in bags, rather than hang them up so they are ready to wear.

She is afraid of what people think of her, but focuses mainly on the external - her looks, her clothes and her weight - because if she ever thought people just found fault with her because of who she is or how she acts, she might lose it completely.

If you think those of us who respond are exaggerating, just go to Voterperson's profile and view the hundreds of questions she's asked on this, and similar, topics.

Then view our responses.

I suspect you'll soon reach the same conclusion as the rest of us.

A: Nope. You sure can't! (No matter how much you browbeat her into saying what you want to hear.)

Gary, I don't think Voterperson would recognize a facetious comment if it bit her in the butt.

On the other hand, I bet she pays less for her socks than you do for yours.

These are great answers.  I have to admit I'm hooked on these silly scenarios.  They are intriguing and it seems I'm always waiting to see what the next day will bring.

URI, I'm with you on this one.

LOL VP, from one kidder to another, I'm seriously beginning to enjoy your various scenarios. Creative writing is one way to have fun and yours are always well constructed and immaginative. As I said in an earlier post, you're a consenting adult so keep them coming. I promise, no rudeness or counselling advice but humorous responses are something I can't control and when I get going ...

JK, you are still the cat's meow!
