As far as I know, Facebook does not have feeds on items that relates to you or your friends because they want you to authenticate yourself and make sure that this information will only be available to those that are authorized to see it.

I know a lot of users want to have feed access to this data, so I hope they'll support some of the more generic protocols to do that without giving your user name and password.

I, personally, would also like to have most of the Facebook data available through feeds.

The problem of Facebook with feeds, aside from the security and privacy issues, is that it will mean less people will actually get to the site, which means less possibilities for monetizations.

Although I do think that they could probably do the same advertising things (the Flyers thingy) inside the feeds as well since they know which user requested which feed.

Shai, I stand corrected.

You CAN get a feed for items your friends posted by it will include all of the things they have posted and not necessarily just videos.

Just check out this link and if you have a feed aware browser (IE7 or FireFox) you'll see that there is a feed on that page.

Also, according to this blog post on Dave Winer's blog, there are a couple of other places where Facebook added feeds.

It seems Facebook is openning up (as Dave says).

No day in which you learn something is a complete loss.

Eran, that's not entirely true.

Facebook has just launched feeds that include status updates for your friends, posted items for friends, and notifications for any user.

BTW, If you really want to show facebook to friends, you can get an iphone put facebook on it and go visit your friends :-).
