Its a syndication service that allows you to view updated traffic on a website in a feed file. This feed file is stored on a person's computer and is monitored by the person. They are useful since it "deeplinks" into the news feed without having to browse on a website. Thay way, this value-added service can allow users to access relevant information with ease. The more traffic these feeds generate for a website, the more chance of monetizing via advertising.
