Did you use the right power setting and rack height?

Dear Alex: I have a Nuwave Pro Infrared Oven and it came with an extender ring kit which lets me cook a 16lb turkey, which is great for my family of 6. Additionally, I have cooked a 10 lb turkey with out the added ring and again it is great for my family of 6. I have not had the problem with browing or crisping that you describe. I set the power on high and use the 4" rack and I get the great browning and crisping that I have come to expect with this oven. I have tried this with Chicken, Turkey, Ribs, Lamb, Steak, Pork,Brats, and Hamburgers. Were you cooking with the appropriate temperature and with the right rack heigth? The quick reference guide helps take the guess work out of the proceedure.
