How can I get the right people to listen to my music?

Just the Beginning

I have been writing, recording, producing, editing, my own music and singing since the age of 14.  I have been singing professionally for the past 4 years.  My question is how can I get my music heard by a professional music producer, or a manager in the music industry who would actually listen to my music and advise me?  I have worked very hard and now I need help to take me to the next level.  Listen to my music at: http://cdbaby.com/cd/ashtonvidal click on the arrow to play, also you can listen at http://www.myspace.com/ashtonvidal, my videos are located at: http://www.youtube.com/ashtonvidal.  Please advise me!  I look forward to hearing from you.

Ashton Vidal

I suggest you go post a video on www.youtube.com, www.myspace.com, www.twitter.com, www.facebook.com, and any other social website you can think of.

Wow your pretty good I wouldn't mind buying your cd!

But I don't really know what to say, have you tried YouTube maybe.. But if you keep trying you'll make your goal just like what mike said, and I also agree with Maya. It looks like you are already doing the work yourself which is really good. Just keep it up and the right people will start to listen to you. ;)

Hi Ashton, nice work!

I'm pretty sure the most important step is to open a Myspace account, and getting in touch with people who make the same music you do. That way you get their fans to hear your music, and the odds are- they'll like it too.

Good luck with your music, and have a Shana Tova !

Only if you have been in the deepest valley, can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

I assume you have sent in your demos to several record labels? what was there responce if any? If u have not send them in so, From what I heard on interviews , one can have a very good voice and play good , but the real tick . Is to have a really good song. A good song done the right way can be a overnight blessing, Also network fin people that know the  recording scounts , Slip  the do the old by the way near end of conversation , Give demo disk with ur contact info./  But If you have not been having or making any head way for what sounds llike so. Consintrate on writing a really good song. if it is good and catchy and you have a good voice well then your on your way just need that hit. meantime you can do tryouts on tv compertention shows. good luck

By posting on sites like these, inviting your friends, putting up on myspace and otherwise performing everywhere you possibly can.
