Well depends what you mean by mini. I have one that is 38 inches at the withers. I would never put more than 60 pounds including saddle on him. The next size is the standard donkey of which I have several and they are 44 inches at the withers. I think they could hold 120 pounds and still be comfortable. If you put too much on them, they may lay down. What size is you donkey? What size of person do you want to ride on him?
