How do you get rid of your headaches?

I have started to get really light headaches at night, and then the next day it hurts a lot, one of those really difficult ones to get rid of. I have one right now. How do I get rid of it?

I'll search, while you Cool wait.

What works for me is a cup of caffeine (coffee) and two acetaminophen (Tylenol) tablets.  I read it in a book around 1996, about how clinical studies on more than ten thousand showed that both aspirin and acetaminophen provided much greater pain relief when they were combined with caffeine. It helps!  If you don't like coffee, try two tablets with a caffeine drink of your choice.  By the way, the book is titled

Everything You Pretend to Know and Are Afraid  Someone Will Ask, page 114.

Water should be your best friend. If your drink any substitute sugars with those weird chem-kills in it then your brain will send signals telling you something is wrong with the hand to mouth situation you're engaging in. READ LABELS OF THINGS YOU"RE EATING & DRINKING. IF YOU CAN"T PRONOUNCE IT, THERE"S NO REASON TO PUT IT IN YOUR BODY JUST CUZ IT 'tastes' good. Do you smoke, drink? If you find yourself constantly with these headaches & you're not drinking water, then you can easily be developing a tumor(hardened mucus), or simply just be vunerable to any 'armchair' call that these practioners give you.

Oh yeah to add on to that, if you're an expresso, 'cup a joe', red bull, or any of those 'energy drink' things every day, then you're dehydrating yourself with CAFFEINE, which will destroy your kidneys(also a drug- once you start getting withdrawal symtoms like headaches along with constant mood changes, which btw contributes to depression)

I disagree with the bit about extra caffiene. Caffien addiction can be the cuase of headaches. Caffein is a drug and it can be abused, like all drugs you should avoid useing too much caffeine.

youre probably slightly dehydrated, maybe from coffee, or an energy drink, or maybe a few too many drinks, but whatever the case you need to drink a lot of water. water will hydrate you/flush your system, hopefully ridding you of your headache.

While dehydration is the most common cause of headaches if none of this is working for you, you should see a doctor. You may need glasses, in worst case senarios you could have a tumor or an aneurism, in any case it's best not to leave you medical advice up to the internet.
