(this is going to be a long question!) I'm having trouble playing FIFA 06 on my Windows Vista Home Premium laptop computer. The game will run, but here's the problem: whenever it presents me with a menu, selection screen, etc. it will scroll back and forth automatically between the choices. I'd be willing to overlook it if I could play a regulation game. Whenever I try to do that, the player I'm controlling will not move, no matter what key I press. I can pause the game, but then it begins the automatic-selecting again. After talking to EA customer support, they advised me to upgrade my video driver. (I have previously tried to play it under "compatibility mode" without success.) All I know about my current driver is that on the "DxDiag" screen under "Display Devices", its version is listed as 7.14.0010.1437, and its "date" is 2/11/2008. I'm looking at the product advertised here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericSoftwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-68640-1&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en thinking that (hopefully!) it will correct the problem. What's your opinion? Will it work, do I need to download a different product, or am I nowhere near the solution? Help would be extremely appreciated!! =]
