Looking for Repossessed cars for sale or bank repo cars can be risky, but if you are organized there are many bargains on offer.
Auctioned cars could also be abandoned cars, government vehicles and even seized vehicles.

The first thing I suggest you do is get a full list of vehicles on auction (I'll give you a link a little further down), and do your own valuation on all the cars which you may be interested in. Set a upper limit bid / value for every vehicle and don't go above that price.

Important : The repossessed cars for sale which you hope to bid on have to have titles (or at least  - be able to be titled) otherwise you can't obtain insurance.

If you have not experienced a repossessed car sales auction in the past then I advise that you attend a few auctions beforehand so as to get a better comprehension of the process - it's essential to build up some confidence because car auctions can be quite daunting the first occasion.

Once you have attended a few auctions you may begin to recognize the regulars - the people in shirt and tie are most likely used car salesmen.

Observe which vehicles they tender on , they're bound to to know the market (what price they can retail the car for) and furthermore the general condition of the cars - they will most likely be on good terms with the auction personnel and would get further info - almost certainly more than us general public.

Remember that the car dealers aim to bring in a fat profit on the vehicle so they wouldn't like to offer as much as yourself - this profit that the car salesmen would add on could be your huge savings ....
(This is the most secure method that I have revealed for buying cheap impounded cars for sale - you could also go it solo if you have expert advice and feel confident.)

The top way to assemble info about repossessed cars for sale are with  with  Gov repossessed car auctions , they are expert and possess one of the leading, up to date and most dependable information archives of Government & Police auctions of used, repo, impounded and seized vehicles, trucks and SUV's.

Alternatively you can check through tens of sites, magazines and newspapers, plus / or contact various vehicle repo institutes and credit unions. This would take lots of time and effort , and honestly, you couldn't come remotely near to the quantity and standard of up to date info which a business who focusses on this could. If you require access to the top bargains offered then getting the most complete and up to date info is essential.

Hopefully I helped you a little with your search for impounded and bank repossessed cars for sale.

All the best, and if you're patient and do the research you should be able to hit upon a great deal!

The best place to look hands down is www.repofinder.com.  It's free to use and links you directly with the Credit Unions selling the vehicles.  No middle man means you save.

In my experience, the best and safest way to search for repo vehicles, particularly if you're new at it, is online. Not only is it extremely easy to find the bargains, it's also very simple to check a seller's reputation and background, determine a certain car's average selling price, contact other buyers, place your bids and everything else that involves an auction. However, beware and run a vehicle hisstory report at Autocheck, check the title, etc, since you don't want any sourprises. Also, the fact that epo vehicle are sold in bad condition is a myth: there are many great vehicles out there if you know where to look and take precautions like the ones I mentioned above.

Bank attempting to seize my car?

I was laid off and could not keep up with my car payments - of course occurred late fees, attorney fees, and ultimately repo fees. I contacted the Bank's attorneys to try to work out a payment arrangement, but they never got back. I just received a Order of Seizure from the courts. Can I make good on the defaulted amount, bring myself current and continue to make my monthly payments.
