How to replace a fuel pump

I have a 2001 Buick Century Custom and need to know how to take apart the fuel pump and put a new one back in. I have changed the fuel filter, but the same problem ramains. After 4-5 miles, it starts to jerk when you push the gas pedal, so my thinking is the fuel pump is bad.

Conservation: Paying more and getting less.

The fuel pump is electric and it is in the tank and it can be accessed by removing a cover plate on the floor of the trunk. I suggest you get a repair manual. There are some installation cautions and a pressurization procedure. I doubt the pump is your problem, these things either work or they don't.
