What can I do to replace Sudafed?

The doctor told me to stop taking sudafed because it is addictive. However, I can only sleep if I can breathe out of my nose. What can I do to clear my nose before going to sleep?

I have suffered from allergies for years now. And my sinuses get worse during winter. I use SinuCleanse and Breathe Right Nasal strips to sleep better at night.  I also have a humidifier on every night and it has made the difference.

Here is a good article to read with a lot of natural remedies that are not addictive.

I've had the same problem for years.  Neosynephrine nose drops &/or Breathe Right strips are the only dependable "cures" I've found.

Live life to the fullest.

I've had success with 4Way Nasal Spray. It's been great clearing up my nose right before I go to sleep.

Even when all else has failed you...there will always be love.

Claratin is my allergy medicine of choice :) I recommend the melting pills. Each does is 1 pill that lasts 24 hours and works great =]

If you can't breathe through your nose, you must have an anatomical obstruction. It may be allergy, or something like a deviated septum or nasal polyp. See an ear, nose and throat doctor to help sort out the problem.
