Roman Catholicism and other orthodox Christian religious sects believe they have replaced the Jews as the people of God. Someone could believe it before 1948 but after 1948, after Israel became a nation again on the earth what is the relevance of their belief?

The former Pope John Paul II asked forgiveness from the people of India, China and so on for the atrocities their religion committed on the people.

Is this religion really a Christian one ? It is a rather a kingdom having its own geographical territory (Vatican), its own citizens (Roman Catholics), ambassadors the world over. Who can refute it?

It is high time you leave this kingdom and reach the Church.

answer is you publickly denounce (yurself) you could for instqnce take out an advertisement in the newsaper. you are what is known as apostate in the faith. if you are attacking the faith appropriate offices withi8n the religion are available but have not been acrtivbe since the inquisitions. it seems the priests have gone over bending backwards to not offend the publick.  in the old days you simply did not paractice dna you defact o were excommunicated.  there is an excommunication ritual that has not been in use but you are defaxcto excommunicated in different ways depending on which country you lifve in.  for instance by not doing your "weaster (easter) duty" today a good confession telling how long you have been apostate usally clears it iup but really theh priests are taking on a burden not good for themselves.  a monsignor is really necessary but they have been lasx.

God did not give me the spirit of fear, but that of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  11Timothy 1:7

Are you planning on attending a church that teaches the plan of salvation?  Or do you just want to get away from the Catholic Church?  If you are interested in attending another church, then I would not do anything.  Just go to the church of your choice.  Receive Jesus and live a happy life in your new surroundings.  The Catholic church does not own you.  You are a free willed person and can attend the Church of your choice.  The truth awaits you.  Some of the best Christians I have known, are people who left the Catholic church and became born again Christians.  They are, in their testimonies, very happy they are away from false teachings.  Hope you resolve this and move on to a church were you will be happy.  God Bless.

I am also renouncing the catholic religion. I have despised this religion for 50 years ,but did not think I needed to formally renounce it. However I have only recently realised that my name, along with millions of orther ex catholics is still being counted and used as a statistic for political and social influence. That is, it is giving the church power to continue its oppressive work.

My first letter asking for my name to not be used in this way is to

The General Secretariat, 64 Aitken St,  Airdrie  Scotland ML6 6LT. I will let you know how I get on!

~ The Heart is the hub of all sacred places, go there and roam ~

Someone asks  How do I renounce the Catholic religion?  Well.. here's my take,   .. IF in fact  this religion no longer fills your spiritual needs  then simply chose NOT to participate any more.   To feel a NEED to renounce one's decision to any outer "authority" is to continue to hold onto that authority.  Who's business is it anyway?  No ones, this is  between you and God.  So... simply say to God ...    Lord... I am sensing that this system of worship no longer fulfills me..   and then just let it go.  It MIGHT    be a really good idea to ask God.. from within ..  just what approach to the Divine would serve you best. Chances are He has already given you some hints.  : )   I think for most people it is a process.. For instance, I used to be a Catholic, and borrowed from them what I needed, then I moved on to  the Unitarians who are very Altruistic and where I was given the freedom to question and explore more deeply.  For a while I was even an Agnostic .. since I truly wanted to KNOW God  but did not know.. one way or the other, and blind faith belief was simply not good enough.  Finally God actually showed up!  AWESOME!  : )  and Now God has led ME within, to the spiritual path of a Bhakti Yogi.  I didn't really chose this..  This was wholy God's plan for me.  So I suggest that you don't allow your finite mind to get too much in the way  and just follow your heart.  God knows what EACH of us needs AND when we need it.   I like to think of it all as evolution of the soul.  Ultimately we come to see that we start with God and we end with God.  It is a very personal journey  and each soul's will be different and there is no need to judge any of it because ultimately  God and not our finite mind mind is in charge.

Consider.. the very idea of "moving on" was not actually yours  but an idea put there  by God.   As they say.. the ways of the Lord are mysterious indeed.  Just trust your heart... and Love all as best you can.   Many blessings.

Michael <<Maybe if you shared, your testimony, maybe the Priest might see the Light and get converted and leave too! >>

Hey!  Don't laugh. It HAS happened. : )  When it is one's time to awaken to Jesus' highest Truth.. ( and not before)people do have their awareness of the Divine expanded.     I know one fellow who was an ordained priest for 9 years, (what an amazing soul he was) but he truly wanted to KNOW God.. and all he had received so far was dualistic, intellectual understanding.. not good enough.  Anyway  he left and did some deep soul searching. Not long after he came into contact with a rare Grace Bestower and he had a full Grace Awakening.   In that moment he was able to hold a Non-Dual Transcendent perspective of Jesus' teachings and became a Bhakti Yogi.

Grace lifted the 'veil of ignorance'  and he received the Supreme Truth, the perspective of the pure Christ Consciousness.  Only then was he able to grasp Jesus' most sublime teachings and ultimate purpose.

This knowledge isn't really about any particular religion.. its about being open and ready to receive what Grace has to offer.  It moves one out of the realm of mundane belief of the finite mind and into the Transcendent realm of The Divine ONE.         It is true that the unawakened dualistic mind cannot even begin to imagine what lies beyond its grasp.  This is why Grace is essential.   Anyway.. that The Lord works in mysterious ways that are unfathomable to us, is no trite saying.

I tried to give you a couple of Helpful Thumbs Up, but the circle went round and round and ended up back in its original place.  It doesn't matter.  It gave me a chance to write this thank you note to you.  NJoy
