Have you been to the Yedda blog today?

It's also a good idea to install some antivirus software. I like AVG's free edition.

A more comprehensive solution that may also require some expert tinkering is using hijackthis

Hey bobcox,

VirusHeat is a fake anti-spyware program that heats up your computer with misleading spyware results, browser hijacks, redirects to unreliable websites and further exposure to other malware threats.

VirusHeat offers users to purchase a full version of the program to remove the supposed spyware infections. Get rid of VirusHeat. Try SmitFraudFix, it's free. Hope this works for you.

Frank.

Uninstalling VirusHeat using Add/Remove Programs will not solve the problem as security alert popups are beeing generated by a trojan.
