Do other religions have a period of time when it is not customary to get married?

I know that in Judaism there is a period of time after Passover that the Jews will not/prefer not to marry because of a plague that caused many casualties from Rabi Akiva's disciplines. Do other religions have a period of time when it is not customary to get married?

Within conservative evangelical and fundamentalist Christianity there are no formal restrictions although there are practical ones is connection with holidays and such. From a biblical standpoint there are not any restrictions on the timeframe for marriage in the Christian church but I'm not well versed enough in the Torah to know whether there may be some specific Levitical codes that connect the Bible to your question.
