How do we stop communism? Pray!

Marie Jon - Guest Columnist - 6/27/2009 5:00:00

Marie Jon (columnist)Many clear-thinking Americans believe that Marxists are in control of our country — and that there is no reason to believe they will ever give up their power. The question at hand is: What can be done to remedy the situation we as a nation find ourselves in?

Dare to be a Daniel

The answer is clear. The strategy for survival of any society is repeated throughout the Holy Scriptures and must be applied today. We need to enlist this vital strategy to preserve America's freedom and strength. People of faith need to persuade decent, patriotic, God-fearing Americans to turn their hearts to God and live in a manner worthy of His intervention.

Christians must dare to be a Daniel.

Daniel stood firm when facing what seemed to be insurmountable challenges and circumstances. Believe in your heart that America is still reclaimable. Like Daniel, we must set a godly example, and give primary emphasis to seeking God's will in our own lives.

"We The People" must also take every opportunity to encourage others to do the same.

Because America was established by God to be a beacon of freedom, we must also promote peaceful, law-abiding citizen activism on an individual level. As our forefathers were ready to take on the responsibilities of "participatory" citizenship, so should those of us who demand nothing less than the right of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

I believe God will hear the prayers and pleas of the humble and righteous who are willing to get on their knees and ask Him to spare our country.

Whole armor of God:

If you are attending a church that does not have a daily Bible study guide to feed your soul, then it's your responsibility to buy one. Make sure you purchase a study plan that is age-appropriate for your family.

We can no longer be complacent and unaware of our spiritual condition. Rededicate and revive your faith. Don't become like the church of Laodicea. Listen to words of The Almighty. (See Revelation 3:14-21.) He offers you both praise and rebuke.

Many of God's people feel worn and weary because they are not wearing the whole armor of God. Every day, we see our cherished liberties disappear. They are being stolen from us as we tremble unnecessarily. We know that, eventually, our pastors and the churches will be muzzled and undermined with unjust laws. Prepare yourself. Have a prayer on your lips to offer up to heaven.

Communist policies:

Public hate and disdain for people of faith have been allowed to fester since this administration swept into Washington. In fact, it is promoted by the "progressive" ideologues within our legislative halls, public institutions, and the biased liberal media.

Excerpts from "Top 7 Marxist communist policies being implemented by Obama today," by Hal Licino (found at hubpages.com) —

Throughout history, communist leaders have seized power by promoting themselves as populists, and often completely hiding their own ideology. Indeed, in a poll taken after communist Hugo Chavez' first election victory in Venezuela, only three percent of the electors believed Chavez to be a socialist, let alone a communist. Currently 32 percent of Americans believe Obama to be a socialist.

The initial stages of communization of a country invariably begin with seven basic steps:

1. Seizing control over the free flow of the nation's money

Obama has stated that he wants to convert the stock the U.S. government now owns in the nation's banks from preferred stock, which is the case currently, to common stock. This modification in type of stock may seem irrelevant at first glance, but under further analysis it is the single greatest communist policy the U.S. government has ever adopted: It means that the federal government will control all of the currently publicly traded major banks and financial institutions in the nation which are currently in the hands of individual shareholders. Not only will the current shareholders' rights be trampled, but the control of the nation's flow of money is the first keystone of communism.

2. Stripping capitalists of their assets

According to U.S. bankruptcy code, secured creditors such as the ones who have outstanding debt against Chrysler and GM have to be paid before unsecured creditors. That is the law. Obama has ignored this law, and seized the vast majority (89% in GM's case) of all "asset value" of the automakers and taken direct control or given it away for free to the unions. Karl Marx's theses were all based on the workers owning the means of production, and thus communism takes hold in America.

3. Changing the structures of government to suit

Obama has given the GOP until October to approve his health care plan, which many experts have shown would be as socialized as Cuba's. If the Republican Party does not meet his demands, the Democratic Party will simply change the very rules of the United States Senate to pass their legislation through simple majority, instead of the 60% which has been required by the Senate through history. Changing legislation to suit the leader is another common tactic of communist leaders from Chavez to Castro.

 4. Taking advantage of a crisis to impose communism

Obama's Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel published a book entitled "The Plan" which would require (yes, require) young Americans regardless of their political stripe to serve in a direct copy of Hugo Chavez' red-beret local militias. "The Plan" also promotes massive taxpayer-funded programs as universally-free university tuition and health care, as well as tax reform to ensure that the middle and upper classes are crushed by the enormous new government expenditures. Obama has already admitted such a 'soak anyone making over $250,000/year' punitive tax policy. Emanuel is famous for his quote 'you never want a serious crisis to go to waste....[it's] an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before,' which is the prototypical process whereby communists seize power — witness Lenin, Mao, Castro, Tito, et al.

'Thy will be done'

The man in the White House is being unfaithful to his country and to God. President Barack Hussein Obama thinks only of his own earthly ambitions and pernicious ideology — Marxism. We are admonished to pray for our leaders. Please place the president and his full Cabinet on the top of your prayer list, and pray for God's will to be done. (See Matt. 6:9-13.)

It is time for every born-again, traditional Christian to network. All churches should plan a day to bus into Washington, DC, for a full day of prayer and repentance before the Lord. Ask Him to once again set the "captives free" and "heal and restore our land":

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Can Prayer really change Obummers & the Donkeycrats Positions on Socialism?

Can Prayer affect changes in Non-Christians?

How far away is America from becoming Communist?

When we put short term gains before long term consequences, we invite disaster.

America is still a very long way away from being a communist country.  We were not founded as one-so the philosophy of our patriotism/nationalism won’t likely reach the point of China, The Soviet Union, or North Korea unless the U.S. becomes a failed state.

I think it’s very important to not underestimate the greatness of the United States (in terms of countries and arrangements) we have always had one of the highest literacy rates in the world, the best education system in the world, and far and away-we are at more liberty to express our ideas than any other state on earth.                The real asset to us, and the biggest balance to the White House, is this mass of increasingly educated and progressively diversifying, hard working, and honest creatures others call Americans.  These people have, even under the most “oppressive” regimes, held honest and individual opinions that manifested in many ways.

I think there are a lot of misconceptions right now about what are government really is.  One thought is that our government is this great beast that should not be buying stocks, bailing out entities, or taking other measures it sees “fit.”  It is usually referring to increasing socialization or bureaucracy which some see as bad or scary.  To me the scary part about that is that we are, or were at one time, a democracy: Government by the people for the people.  And when it is categorized as a “beast”: an entity all to its self, that acts without consent- we no longer have a democratic state.  If you want something “evil” to fix it should be this.

The big idea here is that the current regime found it necessary to stimulate the economy in the ways that it did.  With a change in the economy we have tried to adjust in policy, and when the economy rebounds-government will change again.

Although I may agree with U that America has been made great through it's education system, we must realize that we speak in the Past Tense as this Article attests. We have turned our backs to God & kicked Him Out of School & anywhere else we can think of which as the saying goes; "Turn about is 'Fair Play'". God will not force His Will upon us, rather desires us to "Freely Love Him". Without instilling the "TRUTH" in Educating our children we are Forcing them to live their Lives on someone elses Lies assuring their Failures. Todays Teachers are Not instructing Kids in the way of "Learning to Analyze & Solve Problems" & so when faced with "Real Life", they Fail.    John

THE REAL EDUCATIONAL SCANDALS

Symptoms of a Colossal Failing of America’s Public Education System

Article Release Date: September 7, 2006 - - Very frequently the media reports on scandals involving teachers.  For example on March 4th, 2006 the media covered a scandal involving a Geography teacher who had abused his position to indoctrinate students with his own political agenda.   On April 11th, 2006 the media covered a similar scandal involving a science teacher who had abused his position of trust and power to indoctrinate thirteen year old students with vulgar anti-Bush videos while demanding the students to chant inappropriate slogans such as: “John Kerry rocks!”

Not withstanding that it’s the teacher’s responsibility to teach children how to think vs. what to think, it’s regrettable that the media chooses to focus on such incidents as if they were isolated cases when in reality this type of blatant disregard of school Board policies and educational codes is an everyday occurrence virtually on every campus across the country.  This incident is only the tip of the iceberg and an indication of America’s failing public education system.

The truth is that America’s public education system is broken big time and is fast becoming the schools of the poor and a breeding ground for violence and indoctrination, as acknowledged by many high-ranking governmental officials (including Alan Greenspan) and the media.  The real scandal is not so much that teachers, such as this particular Geography teacher or the highly publicized case of a certain professor at the University of Colorado, used class time indoctrinating our kids, or that 10% of students who have had sexual contact with their teachers (that can’t be fired), or the increase in sexual molestation by peers, or an increase in drugs and violence in campuses nationwide, or the categorical violation of students and parents’ rights, or even the increase in high school drop outs.

The real scandal is that we have educators all across the nation who exhibit political arrogance that regardless of their conduct they can’t be touched and be held accountable for their own actions (as reflected in these particular teachers going back to their jobs and back to business as usual of no accountability).  These are the very people who are entrusted with our most precious commodity, our kids.   Administrators and the school Board are the very people who have both the authority and the responsibility to do something about it but instead are looking the other way.  They allow these harmful, questionable and illegal practices to happen everyday, often with their full knowledge and consent.  That’s the real scandal.  There is no difference between this scandal and some of the other newsworthy scandals (e.g. Enron) in terms of corruption, lack of integrity and the courage to stand up for what is right vs. what’s politically correct.  The real scandal is that the very people who are in a position to do something about this growing problem, choose to ignore the problem, which is nothing short of a shock to the conscious.

Obviously, these educators exploit the fact that the system is broken and corrupt as reflected in a total lack of a system of accountability.  Without an effective system of accountability, educators will not be held accountable for their actions (e.g. will not lose their job if they don’t perform with integrity).  After all, there is no other industry/career field where the workers are guaranteed a job for life regardless of their performance and conduct (we’re talking about teachers’ tenure).

In the absence of accountability, teachers will continue to indoctrinate our kids with their personal political agenda instead of teaching what they were hired to do.  Likewise, school administrators will continue to ignore serious problems such as bullying and sexual molestations by peers and educators on campus since addressing these problems would mean consequences for the perpetrators which will result in costly litigation in the face of a budget crisis.

Sadly, education is no longer about educating kids in the truest form.  It has become a big business and a political football all driven by money.   So, instead of focusing on a child’s education by providing highly qualified teachers to teach what they were hired to do, or providing a safe and healthy environment conducive to learning where each child is encouraged to realize their full potential, administrators focus on avenues that can bring the most revenues to the school (mostly to keep their jobs and not necessarily to directly benefit the kids) such as a child’s state and federal test scores and school attendance.

As a result kids are not learning or being adequately prepared for success in college, the workforce and in life with meaningful life skills to compete successfully in an increasingly competitive and technologically driven global economy.  This is reflected in America’s ranking near or at the bottom on international test scores and multi-national corporations who now hire an engineer from Pakistan not an American for an important project in the U.S.  However, the damage is not limited to our economy alone, which is dependent on highly educated and skilled workers.  The damage is also intangible as reflected in an increase in social ills (from violence in our schools and on our streets to drug abuse and teen pregnancy and suicide), a decline in morality and human values and the destruction of the family institution.   It is a “stealth” scandal because the American public has not yet realized what is being stolen from them and how every American is going to be impacted by it directly or indirectly.  After all, the attainment of the American Dream has now become just that - a dream – for most of the new generation.

It’s the media’s moral obligation to address critical issues such as the growing educational crisis, which according to both Alan Greenspan and Sen. Ted Kennedy is a matter of national security (it takes technologically advanced, highly creative and talented people to protect America’s vital interests both at home and abroad and win the war on terror).

In the words of Los Angeles talk radio show host, Doug McEntyer (KABC), “Since the failing of our public education system is everyone’s problem, it’s in the best interest of every sector in the community, including the media, to step up to the plate and become part of the solution.”  Anything short of that is just paying lip service and sensationalizing the news for rating purposes which don’t solve the problem at all much less serve the public’s best interest.

The need to appropriately address the root cause of our failing institutions, growing social ills and America’s declining leadership in the world has never been more urgent, simply because it’s linked to education and moral values, which are the foundation of a free and a thriving society.  Given the high stakes, it’s obvious that transforming America’s dysfunctional and corrupt educational system is truly worthy and deserving of media attention.

To many whose voices can’t be heard otherwise, the media is a beacon of truth, hope and inspiration and therefore, spotlighting the continued educational crisis in America (from which no school district is exempt) needs to be viewed as an opportunity to contribute and make a meaningful difference today thus become a bridge between millions of children and their families who continue to suffer in silence with no one to turn to for help trapped in a cycle of despair and failure and their hope for a better tomorrow made possible by the generous spirit of caring people who have the courage to stand up for what is right.   This sentiment is best captured in the words of Theodore Roosevelt, former U.S. president who said, "This country will not be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in."

I 100% agree with you, in many respects our system leaves great holes at the expense of our posterity.  With this being said, we still have the greatest educational system the world has ever seen-this, however, may be a testament to how much we don’t know about what works in the realm of education.

Ultimately you may be blaming a compound problem strictly on education simply because it is the easiest thing to regulate.  What else is failing? -The American family, Big business, morals, and culture and society.  On the note of the family, parents are a notably more efficient force in the socialization and influence on their children’s views.

I think if we don't pray and pray very hard, live out lives as his letter to us states, we, as a nation, will be lost.  For those that truly understand our Fathers letter to us, the fifth trump is in play, and soon the sixth will arrive.  Not trying to 'preach', but truth is truth.  And the rest really won't matter.

Communism is dead.  America is in no danger of becoming Communist.  And America will only become soclalist if voters choose it, and choose to modify the US Constitution.

Right now we have a mixed economy with what you could call socialistic elements -- Social Security, Medicare, commuter railroads, most municipal bus systems, libraries, public museums, schools, the military -- all sorts of different services provided by governments. Many of these socialistic elements have private counterparts that compete with them.  Harvard and U Mass compete.

Sometimes we move things from private to government control (commuter railroads) and sometimes we move them from the government to private (Charter schools).

Obama is influencing the running of some things (banks, GM) because when they were left alone they could not run themselves.  He is a Christian and much more conservative than some of his supporters hoped he would be.

It is unchristian to spread rumors without caring if they are true or not, just to scare people.  It is unchristian to undercut the authority of the head of your government unless the head has repeatedly done very serious things and there is no other way to fix it.  All power comes from God.  Our Founding Fathers revolted against the king God had given them, but only for good cause and after years of attempts to solve the problems.

Only small attempts to extend power beyond what the Constitution gives are acceptable in this country.  Even in wartime, those attempts meet great resistance.  The armed forces would not obey any orders to take over the economy or put people in camps unless there was a clear need for those orders, like an invasion by Martians or a giant volcanic eruption in Wyoming that covered the land in ashes as far east as Michigan.

If socialism leads to communism, then we could make ourselves safer from communism by removing the socialistic things we have now.  Some of these things are Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.  People should be responsible for their old age and their health care themselves, by saving and buying insurance in the free market.

The government can enforce God's law against abortion or euthanasia or homosexual marriage, or it can leave these things entirely up to individuals, or it can leave them up to individuals but with conditions.  God has no law, just a recommendation, that we should make sure anyone who needs medical care to survive will get that care.  The Government has no right to enforce that obligation on citizens against their will.

If citizens do not wish to chip in to aid those who need it, that is their right.  The complete cost of such aid should be borne only by those who wish to bear it, and they will have to bear the share of those who do not wish to contribute.  There are many programs now that compel us to contribute to aid others (Social Security and Medicare, or the requirement that hospital emergency rooms treat anyone who walks in whether they can pay or not).  To eliminate traces of socialism, these should be done away with.

One can search every facet of the Universe, but unless one carries that which one is searching for with them, they find it not.

As long as the government owns a part of the private sector, and “We the People” allow it, then “We the People” are socialists. “We the People”, who do not want to be socialists must rise up and demand our country back. And hopefully it’s not too late. This country is living on the edge between becoming Communist or Capitalist, depending on the strength of Americans, or lack of strength. There is a welfare mentality that is for socialism because they want the government to take care of their every need. There is also a band of black loyalty that is for Obama because he is black, and knows nothing about socialism, and care noting about politics. They are not aware of Obamas politics, lack of leadership and inexperience. And we also have the liberal whites who are banking on his far lift ideas, such as abortion. Not to forget the greedy and power hungry politicians who are only supporting him for what they can get him to do out of his own ignorance. It’s all about a certain inner perception that has not yet found the truth. This is not America, it is not about black, white, yellow or green, it’s about “We the People” and the corrupt politicians and private sector. “We the People” are being called to make choice’s that is ether going to make America strong or into a third world country. 2012 is our last chance, and “We the People” need to realize that it is “We the People”.
