'No truth' in Obama's speech before homosexuals

Jim Brown - OneNewsNow - 7/1/2009 7:20:00

Barack Obama 2A black evangelical Christian pastor and former NFL linebacker says there was "absolutely no truth in anything" President Obama said in his speech to homosexuals in the East Room of the White House Monday.

President Obama promised LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) supporters Monday at a White House "gay pride" celebration that he "will continue to be an ally and a champion" for their agenda, once again vowing he will repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy. (Related article: Obama White House not appealing transgender ruling)

Ken Hutcherson, senior pastor of Antioch Bible Church in Washington state, says it is "a shame" that the president is "supporting what destroys the family."

Ken Hutcherson"There's absolutely no truth in anything he said, from beginning to the end," says Pastor Hutcherson. "There is no such thing as [a] biblical stance for homosexuality, if you use the Bible. If you want to use any other denomination, feel free -- but where I stand is...biblical; it is marriage between one man [and] one woman, and that is the relationship, heterosexual, that is ordained, blessed, and called by God."

In his talk, Obama acknowledged that many Americans still disapprove of homosexuality. "There are still fellow citizens, perhaps neighbors or even family members and loved ones, who still hold fast to worn arguments and old attitudes," he stated. (See related article) Hutcherson says those comments demonstrate the president has contempt for more than just conservative Christians.

"I think this president has a disdain for anyone who disagrees with anything about him -- don't just limit it to Christians and conservatives," he remarks. "Brother, this man doesn't like anyone who doesn't think he's the smartest man in the world."

Hutcherson says until conservative Christians make their small voice a dominating one, there is nothing that will stop President Obama from pushing for the legalization of same-sex "marriage."

How can Obummer be a Christian when he Publically Denounces Gods Holy Word refering to it as "worn arguments & old attitudes" all the while supporting Islam & Destroying our Relationship with Israel???

John:  To me, this question is a sensitive issue. I have three Brothers, two heterosexual and one homosexual. When sexual orientation isn't a topic of conversation, and time is spent with all three, you would come to know three men who are law abiding, hard working, honest and good of heart.

Few people meet another heterosexual and think "he or she I don't like because they are a heterosexual." I don't know of anyone who meets another heterosexual and instantly places a value judgment on them based upon what transpires behind closed bedroom doors?  But if the word "homosexual" is connected to the individual, immediately they are judged, (and all too often hated), based strictly on their sexual orientation and no other factors.

Homosexuals endure much hatred and it saddens me. The Bible is often quoted to denounce homosexuality, they say it's GOD's word. I'm fascinated by the fact that GOD's word also states we will not judge, for judgment is His and His alone, (judge not lest ye be judged).   I don't understand how contents of the Bible are used in part for the benefit of a party against an issue or group of people, whatever the issue, or whomever the group may be.

Ken Hutcherson and his kind infuriate me! The Bible was written by man over extended periods of time. Either the Bible is to be taken literally, or the Bible is not to be taken at all. It is GOD'sword and is not to be interpreted, (or even rewritten), yet many people will do just that, interpreting their views of it and also rationalizing what GOD said about them as heterosexuals, and whether or not they themselves are sinners in GOD's eyes?

One of the many arguments out there is gays should not be married because gays cannot bring children in to the world and marriage is between a man and a woman to procreate. There are thousands upon thousands of heterosexual couples who unfortunately can not bear children, this isn't a reason to deny marriage to two human beings in love, nor is the fact that one, (or both), may be sterile a reason to strip them of their marriage certificate!

America stands in part for equality and is the land of the free. Homosexuals have been denied our basic rights over and over again, it is hateful and it is discriminatory. Gays and Lesbians pay income taxes, (same as you and me). Gays and Lesbians pay mortgage payments, as do the majority of heterosexuals, they make auto payments, as do the majority of heterosexuals. They go to war and can be the target of death, same as heterosexuals.

If the husband of a wife should commit murder and be sentenced to life in prison, family values don't seem to apply to the single Mother who remains in that household? If the wife should commit adultery and leave the husband and children, again family values don't seem to apply. Yet when two Gays or Lesbians, or one Gay or Lesbian raises a child, family values are preached at nauseam - to the fullest extent.

An argument is homosexuality destroys the family. How does it destroy a family? If destroying the family is because Gays and Lesbians can not procreate, again neither can countless heterosexual couples.  Sexual orientation is not a basis for good or bad parenting.  Many parents aren't comfortable discussing sexual matters within the home, and therefore many do not.  Providing love and care is what a child needs, gender of the person providing it is irrelevant, race of the person providing it is irrelevant, and sexual orientation is irrelevant as well.

Some argue that male and female roles teach the child to be procreating heterosexuals.  Utter nonsense!  If this were the case, there would be no homosexuals or bisexuals to begin with.  If this were the case, single Mothers and single Fathers would be unable to raise a procreating heterosexual on their own.

Another thing one hears is that Gays and Lesbians shouldn't be given special rights. What special rights are those? What do they possess that we do not have and have had for centuries? Fact of the matter is, they are denied rights we as heterosexuals enjoy and often take for granted. Their fight is for equality.  Equal rights should be the right of every American citizen, not a right decided by a majority or religious group. Once again, Gays and Lesbians pay their taxes same as us, so let us not deny them the same rights we as heterosexuals enjoy because of our own prejudice.

Often you will hear it's deviant behavior or disgusting. It never occurs to heterosexuals that from the point of view of a Gay or Lesbian, wouldn't, (or couldn't) our lifestyle be viewed the same way? You don't see Gays or Lesbians quoting from the Bible to point out the sins of the heterosexual, yet the reverse is never true. Didn't GOD send his only son "Jesus" to be placed upon the cross to die for our sins? If this is truth, than what sins do any of us have in GOD's eyes?

By Gender, is a man better than a female? By skin color, is a Hispanic better than a Caucasian? By eye color, are brown eyed people better than the blue eyed? By hair color, are blondes better than brunettes? By religion, are Catholics better than Lutherans? By political affiliation, are Democrats better than Republicans? By sexual orientation, are heterosexuals better than homosexuals, or are they just different?

America represents diversity as well. We have whites, we have blacks, we have males and we have females. We have Christians and we have Atheists. We have married couples, widows, widowers, divorced, singles. We have two parent households and we have single parent households. We have the elderly and we have teenagers. We have straights and we have gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transsexuals , asexual. The fact we have diversity is part of what makes this country so great!

I ask anyone to think a few moments about the statement made by Ken Hutcherson....Hutcherson says, "until conservative Christians make their small voice a dominating one, there is nothing that will stop President Obama from pushing for the legalization of same-sex "marriage."

Here is what worries me about Mr. Hutcherson's statement. First and foremost, only GOD may judge! Hutcherson, (a Senior Pastor), who doesn't understand this is of monumental concern to me!  Hutcherson will preach that homosexuals will not enter the kingdom of Heaven. Mr. Hutcherson, by GOD's own words, YOU, (a Senior Pastor), will NOT enter the kingdom of Heaven! Rationalize that all you would like, but fact remains the same.  The Bible must be taken literally or not taken at all.  We can't use parts of it to justify our own individual bigotry.

Mr. Hutcherson's statement about making the voice a "dominating" one should scare the Hell out of any sane person!  How many wars are started and how many lives are lost in the name of GOD?  Pastor Hutcherson's train of thought is no different from that of an Adolph Hitler. Domination and force are not an acceptable solution Pastor Hutcherson!  Shame on you and shame on all who think as you!

Frankly, much of the Bible I do not understand. For instance, if Adam was created first, and Eve from the removal of Adam's rib, and if Adam and Eve were the only two human beings on the face of the earth, how is it that their children didn't sleep with their own siblings to procreate, or maybe the male children slept with Eve too?  They certainly didn't pop over to the nearest adoption agency.  GOD forbids this, yet it happened?

If Adam and Eve were of the same race, how do the other races come in to existence, how about hair color, eye color, the various languages, etc.

Christians often quote the Bible so adamantly, their minds often close to rational thought.  I am always amazed at the judgment I see posted toward homosexuals and the language used to describe them. Based on the word of GOD, every single one of these people will spend an eternity in Hell, non negotiable, yet many conveniently overlook it because they are "Christians" and certainly it can't apply to them?

In America, I will always support equal rights and I strongly believe, (as did our Forefathers), that church and state are to be separate. Most Republicans have never been able to get passed this.  I personally believe the GOP has suffered because of it, and some of the biggest sins have been committed by "men of GOD." Religion hurts Republicans more than is realized. As long as church and state are not separate as intended, I believe it will continue to do so.

I truly hope Obama will support Gay Marriage!  American citizens, (straight or gay), must not be discriminated against.  I, for one, am not the least bit threatened by approval of gay marriage in America.  It has absolutely no impact on heterosexual relationships or their marriages.

APA revises 'Gay Gene' theory

Charlie Butts - OneNewsNow - 5/14/2009 6:30:00

The attempt to prove that homosexuality is determined biologically has been dealt a knockout punch. An American Psychological Association publication includes an admission that there's no homosexual "Gene" -- meaning it's not likely that homosexuals are "Born that Way".

For decades, the APA has not considered homosexuality a psychological disorder, while other professionals in the field consider it to be a "gender-identity" problem. But the new statement, which appears in a brochure called "Answers to Your Questions for a Better Understanding of Sexual Orientation & Homosexuality," states the following:

"There is no consensus among scientists about the exact reasons that an individual develops a heterosexual, bisexual, gay or lesbian orientation. Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social, and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors. Many think that nature and nurture both play complex roles...."

That contrasts with the APA's statement in 1998: "There is considerable recent evidence to suggest that biology, including genetic or inborn hormonal factors, play a significant role in a person's sexuality."

Peter LaBarberaPeter LaBarbera, who heads Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, believes the more recent statement is an important admission because it undermines a popular theory.

"People need to understand that the 'gay gene' theory has been one of the biggest propaganda boons of the homosexual movement over the last 10 [or] 15 years," he points out. "Studies show that if people think that people are born homosexual they're much less likely to resist the gay agenda."

Matt Barber with Liberty Counsel feels the pronouncement may have something to do with saving face. "Well, I think here the American Psychological Association is finally trying to restore some credibility that they've lost over the years by having become a clearly political organization as opposed to an objective, scientific organization," he states. (Hear audio report)

With the new information from the APA, Barber wonders if the organization will admit that homosexuals who want to change can change.

Matt Barber"It's irrefutable from a medical standpoint that people can leave the homosexual lifestyle," he argues. "Homosexuality is defined by behavior. Untold thousands of people have found freedom from that lifestyle through either reparative therapy or through -- frankly, most effectively -- a relationship with Jesus Christ."

LaBarbera agrees. "Change through Christ is possible -- and it's one of the most heartwarming aspects of the whole gay debate," he shares. "Many men and women have come out of homosexuality, mostly through a relationship with Jesus Christ. The fact that these professional organizations will not study that, will not acknowledge that, shows how 'in the tank' they are for the homosexual movement."

LaBarbera stresses that even though elites will not recognize the change, that does not mean the change does not exist. In fact, both Barber and LaBarbera believe that God changes people through Christ -- regardless of the sin.

Duke's homosexual rape case elicits silence
Pete Chagnon - OneNewsNow - 7/1/2009 5:00:00 AMBookmark and Share

Frank Lombard

Caution : This story contains descriptions that some may find offensive.

A professor of criminology at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington says the outrage over a homosexual statutory rape case at Duke University is a deafening sound of silence.

Frank Lombard, associate director of Duke University's Center for Health Policy, has been accused of molesting his adopted five-year-old African-American son and offering him up for sex with strangers on the Internet. Lombard's homosexual partner, who resides in the same house with Lombard, was allegedly unaware of the activities.

Mike Adams is a professor at UNC-Wilmington and has written several pieces on the case.

"The conduct that he was accused of engaging in, in front of a webcam with his five-year-old son, includes molestation," Adams explains. "There was oral sex that was involved, and other very unhealthy practices that are too grotesque for me to describe...."

Shhh! In a 2006 rape case involving white lacrosse players from Duke who were accused of raping a black stripper, more than 80 university officials and professors signed a statement accusing the players of racism. The players were eventually found innocent of all charges.

Adams wonders where those professors are now in this new rape case at the university. "I expect to see a continued silence on this," he relates. "I don't expect them to ever speak out on the issue -- and I expect, as a result of that, Duke University to take a severe, severe hit in the court of public opinion."

John:  How very narrow minded of you to suggest this article applies to all Gay and Lesbians?  I could cut and paste thousands of articles regarding the sick sexual/deviant behavior committed by heterosexuals on a daily basis.

Many examples of sexual abuse could also be provided from within the house of the Lord.  This doesn't imply representation of the aggregate heterosexual population, nor does this article imply representation of the aggregate homosexual population, and it doesn't imply representation of Pastors or Priests throughout the world.  It does, however, help me readily see your mind set.

The gene theory was "semi interesting" to read, however, to myself and many it makes no difference if homosexuality or heterosexuality are identified at birth.  I hadn't mentioned that in my email response, so I fail to see why that is a point of importance to you?  My first email response was discussing equal rights in America, not the basis of gene theories, sexual orientation, race, etc.

Some heterosexuals may think homosexual behavior is deviant.  Some homosexuals may think heterosexual behavior is deviant.  I believe that was the point I made in my first email response also.

Please don't suggest that everyone who reads the Bible understands it.  There has been and will continue to be open debate about it from theologians themselves.  If you are suggesting you have the answers, or if the millions you referenced have the answers, I'm sure they would be quite anxious to hear from you, or them.

Have you ever sat down with a bible group, or a group of friends and read/discussed the bible?  If not, try an interesting experiment.....Have five or six people read the same 5 or 6 pages and ask them to jot down their interpretation of what they just read.  I think when you discuss the findings as a group you will be amazed!  It remains one of the most controversial things ever written.

When I see so called Christians make comments such as "Obummer" and hateful remarks toward homosexuals, the hate and view of Christianity is as I mentioned.  Conveniently to them, many continue to judge and will overlook, override, or ignore GOD themselves.  I guess that's where "judge not lest ye be judged" comes to play in the first place, something else I was mentioning in my first email response.

Mat. 6:33 "Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God and All these things Shall Be Added to You!!!

Talk about "Judgmental", why do U say Christians are "Hateful"??? Do U have something against God U need to work out??? I wonder what "Power" was granted U to "Judge the God of the Universe who Created Everything & His Word" which Discriminates against the "Homosexual Lifestyle"??? U talk about "Homosexuals" being discriminated against, but All Sin is Discriminated against by God, is this one just Ur favorite one to "Strike Out Against the Christians with"??? U seem to think that Ur god, "Obummer" has the "Answers", but how can that be he is supposed to be a "Christian" (he just likes the architecture of the 'Mosques') isn't he??? Fact is, Homosexuality (a chosen Lifestyle) has gotten more & more Violent whenever the "Homosexual" has Lost a "Political Fight" as in Prop 8!!! Why can they get away with it when others can't "FORCE THEIR WILLS UPON OTHERS" after losing an election??? With Actions like I Posted for U, why should "Homosexuals" or ANY OTHER GROUP FORCE THEMSELVES UPON ANYONE ELSE??? But that's what Ur god "Obummer" is trying to do, & not just in this country, but in Israel as well, telling them he wants them to give up the Gaza!!! U keep saying that I "suggest" this & that, but then U "SUGGEST" that I'm a "Christian" & U DON'T EVEN KNOW ME, DO U??? It's said, "People in Hell want Ice Water", well "Homosexuals" DEMAND to be treated as the "Heterosexuals" that they ARE NOT!!! WHY??? Another old saying is "Give them enough rope & they will Hang Themselves" which seems to be what we are seeing now as the Article shows. If Homosexuality is so Great & Nobel, why don't we have a Homosexual Nation of some sort that has survived the ages & brought us Great things??? I'll tell U why not, it's because Homosexuality is ALL ABOUT SELF-GRATIFICATION, NOT PROMOTING THE COMMUNITY OR CIVILIZATION!!! On the Other Hand, my understanding of Christianity is their attempt to bring people closer to God & building Good Citizenship in it's purest sense. As I understand it the "Criterion" for going to Heaven in NOT Any Sin U commit, but whether U Believe in Jesus Christ for Salvation or Not, so if I were U (not understanding the Bible as U say) I don't think I would say that Pastor Hutcherson was going to Hell cause I don't think U've got a handle on that.   John

John:  Your last post told me everything I needed to know.  I completely understand you now and laugh at the ignorance.  You, and morons like you, are the reason Christianity and the GOP are viewed as they are.

When you stated, "I wonder what power was granted you, and my GOD Obummer," all my questions were answered.  I laughed till my side hurt at your last response.  People like you put up posts and just wait for someone, (anyone), to answer so you've someone to argue with in the  pathetic existence you call life.

As I suspected, you have no clue about homosexuality and homosexuals.  You have no clue about heterosexuality and heterosexuals for that matter.  As much as you "think" you know and understand GOD, here you are clueless as well.  Your reality is distorted as evidenced by the rant of your last post.

I loved the "Good citizenship in its purest sense."  I'd ask what the definition is, but you've already answered that question for me and anyone else reading as well.  You and pastor Hutcherson have a one way ticket, if you've not checked destination as yet, look South.

I wouldn't be using California as an example in your cause.  Nearly bankrupt states (with a predominately heterosexual population) aren't the best example for your cause.  With New Hampshire, six states have now approved the equal rights I was speaking of, and rapidly it grows, much to the credit of people like you, (keep up the good work)!

God did not give me the spirit of fear, but that of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  11Timothy 1:7

Romans chapter 1 says enough that we know homosexuality is against the will of God.  What more needs to be said?  Gods word is what I choose to believe.  Obama is nothing more than a mis-led man with a job way to big for him.  He proclaims to be a Christian yet he supports this act that God is so against.  Sorta makes me think he has some 'splaning to do to God.  Oh well...he lies about every time he opens his mouth.  I can't believe anyone is a Christian and works continually against the word of God.

This article may not be pointing a finger at all the gay community, however, I have a strong belief that two gay men should not be permitted to adopt children.  For that matter, neither should two lesbian women.  Why bring a child into the confussion?  I live in North Carolina and this is something I blame the State for.  Why was that little child placed with them?  Because of status...nothing more.  Now the child will suffer for the rest of his life because a homosexual was allowed to adopt.  How heart breaking for this child.  There were other children in the home as well.  Thank God they have all been removed.  I hope this creep spends the rest of his life locked in a prison full of homosexuals who will wear him out hourly.  Anyone who supports this type behavior should be sent to jail with him.

I normally don't like to just cut and paste, but rather than paraphrase a letter going around the internet on the Bible and homosexuality, I figured I would post it in its entirely right here.

"Dear Dr. Laura,Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's law. I have learned a great deal from you, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend homosexuality, for example, I will simply remind him or her that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other laws in Leviticus and Exodus and how to best follow them.

  1. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Leviticus 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I deal with this?
  2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as stated in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
  3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Leviticus 15:19-24). The problem is, how can I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
  4. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may buy slaves from the nations that are around us. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify?
  5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
  6. A friend of mine says that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Leviticus 10:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
  7. Leviticus 20:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's Word is eternal and unchanging.
