Answer 5 out of 6

A:

As I see it, the main problem with long-distance relationships (my experience was he moved away and THEN the relationship blossomed) is staying involved in each other's day-to-day lives.  It takes a lot of effort to stay close when you're not sharing everyday life.

The old saying distance makes the heart grow fonder does not always apply.  In fact one might say it hardly ever applies.

It is difficult to stay connected and especially in a love affair with nobody to touch, smell, hold, relate to other than via the net and phone.

Relationships, in my humble thoughts, are like gardens, they must be nurtured and attended otherwise they dry-up and blow away.

Even in the Military with all the 6mth and 1yr+ deployments, married people with children have it tough and for the most part end-up seperated or estranged from one another.  One person is experiencing one thing and another something else and one is growing in one direction and the other in another.

Sigh...........sad but true, love needs attention to de.....tails ah hum
