A:

NO!!!

  1. Not 'all men' are the same.
  2. 'Skinny,' as you phrased it, suggests underweight, which many people find unattractive! It is on one end of a large scale and the number of men who find them attractive is probably close or equal to the number of men who find overweight women attractive. However, most people find a normal/healthy weight attractive.
  3. Any weight can be attractive, depending on the person's confidence and how they dress, amongst other things...
  4. Would it really matter if all men did prefer 'skinny' women?? First impressions are important, but they don't last very long.... Would you go out with someone who you found attractive if he didn't have the intelligence/ambition/personality/skills/etc to support it??

I hope you manage to sort out your self-esteem issues, because I'm also 20 and I know only too well the kinda worries that you're feeling. I blame the media!!! But my sister once told me something that I hold close to my heart:

LOVE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU CAN EXPECT ANYONE ELSE TO LOVE YOU.

If you really are tryin to change yourself, please do it for you. Change yourself to someone you can respect in society - someone you want to be - and not someone that you think other people should find attractive!! Once you get to that stage of love for yourself and that much self-respect you're boyfriend will have nothing more to say. Oh, and please don't ask questions like 'Do all men like/prefer/attracted to skinny women?' because that suggests that you're changing yourself for the wrong reasons (or the wrong person!!)!!!

Good Luck Tiffany,

Don.
