My refrigerator went out and my landlord will not fix it. He states since we are in a lease-option we are responsible for all maitenance. I have read some of NC landlord and tenant relations info and everything I read said he can't. Can't can you shed some light and tell me who I can contact

I think this is something that he needs to take care of. You can basically call a lawyer who will be able to threaten him with a lawsuit. This will put him under pressure and you might not even have to bring the claim into court.

Live simply, love generously and care deeply.

Did you not have a written agreement since this is a lease-option? There are a lot to put in an agreement like this to prevent problems in the future.
