What is the red fire extinguishing stuff sprayed from the air?

What is the red stuff that is used to extinguish fires from planes, called "fire delaying"?


I found This List, but I can't cross reference to which material is used.

You were almost there with that list Smile

There are three kinds of fire retardants in common use today :

Ammonium Sulfate, Polyphosphate and diammonium phosphate.
