Does recycling really worth it?

In the bottom line is recycling (glass, plastic, and paper –) financially worth it?

I know that metal is very worthwhile, But what about other materials, should scientists look for other solutions?

It really depends. Where landfills are full and you drive garbage trucks for hundreds of miles, like Montreol, Canada - it might be worth it.

If you want to save sea turtles that die from our plastics garbage - it might be worth it.

Both are "external costs" that arn't taken into account when we create waste.

If you don't care about long term irreversible effects, then no. It's not "financially worth it".
