Does anybody know if there are any real evidence of the happening of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre that actually makes it believable?

Ok the question says everything. I just want to know. I don't want anybody that don't believe to post here save it for somebody who cares and go waste somebody elses time because if you post here your just wasting yours and my time. But anyways I am from Texas and only this past year I've heard that it all wasn't real, but I don't believe that. I think there's more to the picture here maybe a cover up that Tobe Hooper is putting up. Don't try to convince me otherwhise because somebody's already tried and it doesn't work so don't come here and say that it's not real or it was based on Ed Gein because if you do obviously your not a Texan. So anyways anybody that has experiences with the guy or any interesting information or websites they'd like to share feel free to post them here. Oh and if you have an experience please don't make it out of this world. If this guy is real I doubt many people have crossed his path. Make it seem believable, but it is real. Only post it if it is real. Thanks.
