What rank am I authorize to wear doing retiremant?

I Have been serving the US Army for 22yrs, and as a First Sergeant for 3yrs in the US Army, but my next assignment is in a staff position in which I wear the rank of Master Sergeant, Can I still retire as a First Sergeant? If yes or no, where can I reference the answer? In what army regulation can I reference this answer?

"What does it profit a man to gain the world if he loses his soul?"

I used to know this stuff 35 years ago.  I would suggest that you talk to your local re-up office.  I think that SFC is E7, right?  As a Master Sergeant, will you be an acting Master Sergeant or promoted to E8?  If you get the E8 promotion, there is a minimum time you have to serve to collect E8 benefits.  Otherwise, you will retire as an E7.

Your PIO should have the information, too, or will definitely know who you have to talk to.

Unless you are promoted to Sergeant Major in a Staff Position, your Official Rank at Retirement will be Master Sergeant

Inova Health System partners with DOD to...

www.EmploymentCrossing.com The Department of Defense and Virginia’s Inova Health System have announced a joint effort to recruit, train and license military spouses for health care and nursing jobs in Northern Virginia. The Military to Medicine program was created to meet the needs of hospitals and military families. Of the 675,000 husbands and wives of active-duty military personnel in the country, 77 percent report that they need or want work. That leaves more than half a million people looking for jobs that will allow them to relocate easily, and offer them flexibility for childcare if a spouse is serving away from home. Meanwhile, hospitals nationwide are suffering from a lack of trained nurses. Some industry experts predict a nursing shortage of as many as one million by 2015. “We have a national shortage of allied health professionals across the countries, and we have spouses looking for positive, portable careers,” Leslye Arsht, deputy under-secretary of defense for military community and family policy, told the Washington Business Journal. Inova Health Systems and DOD plan to rollout the Military to Medicine program nationally, offering education, training, certification and licensing, as well as incentives for those already in the fields of health care and nursing to remain in those jobs while their spouses serve in the military.
