Can I heat my garage to above freezing using pipes ...

can I heat my garage to above freezing using pipes that run thru the earth and back thru heat pex in my concrete? I do not want to use any type of heat pump. If I can keep the garage aove freezing, that is all I'm looking for.

If your garage was insulated well enough, it would be above freezing. What you suggest would depend on your garage's heat loss. Pex doesn't transfer much heat without a significant differential and it costs some to couple it to something. Your car will last longer if it's kept cold. If you just want to have a warmer start cover your windshield and have a timer start a lamp inside the car. Why heat the whole garage?
