Did you face any backlash from angry Whites after Barack was elected president?
Not in my area. It was really accepted in a democratic way.

Im white and I did. People in this country are still not ready to accept the fact that a black man was more intelligent, and presented a more concrete platform than his white counterpart. I think a lot of that racism is coming from small minded conservative people who believe that somehow being a war hero qualifies a man to be president. THe consevative right has some very strange ideas, imho, and will choose the other guy over a black man any day. These are just my opinions. I am looking forward to a new era where perhaps we dont see race in this country the way it was viewed in the past. Look at how people all over the world reacted when they heard that Obama had won the election. The overwhelming outpouring of support and pure joy was amazing, and as a white woman I was touched that the world could see how far this country has grown. Lets hope that we continue to grow in this fashion. Peace to all.

The only backlash I have received so far, is from some of the Yeddites on this site.
There were a few attacks on white people in southern CA yesterday...someone painted swastikas on cars that had Obama stickers on them.
