From the movie "the godfather" which character said "stay gold.." and to who? and what was the meaning?
Are you thinking of the movie "The Outsiders"? In that film (and in the book), Johnny tells Ponyboy, "Stay gold." It means to be innocent and good, as explained on Spark Notes.
I have to say that after a wide search for the quote I haven't found it. Are you sure it's from this movie? I'd love to help if you have any more recollection of what's the quote is all about. Ever looking for info about a quote from a movie/tv go to IMDB - Internet Movie DataBase. Right on the homepage you will see a search box, enter the text of the quote on the right.
