What you think about you bring about!!!
Concerning God; I have some questions , written by someone famous, long ago, for those of you who are devout Christians:...........
1. If He is infinitely good, what reason should we have to fear him?
2. If he is infinitely wise, why should we have doubts concerning our future?
3. If He knows all, why 'warn' Him of our needs, and fatigue him with our prayers?
4. If He is everywhere, why erect temples to Him?
AND.......you will never guess who wrote all this; the poet Shelley!!!!!! I thought they were interesting questions........whaddya'all think?
be still.
1. He is indeed infinitely good. He is an unchangeable, faithful, firm and loving Father. Fear relates closely to respect in our relationship with God. True RESPECT, wherein you know there are consequences for disobedience.... as a child that doesn't want to displease their dad because a spanking is inevitable, is a mixture of love and fear. If you try your best to follow what your Dad sets in front of you, you have no reason for fear.
2. Doubts concerning our future are rooted in our failure to have faith in God's ability to get us through anything life puts in front of us. Our human nature and our own stubborn will make it difficult to lay all our burdens at the foot of the cross, but once we do, doubts flee like darkness before the light.
3. Again, our free will is involved. He knows what we need and He is ready to provide - if we ask. He wants an active relationship with us - two-way. How can He answer us if we don't ask? If He just automatically provided everything, our will would be violated. He will never force Himself on us. We must choose Him.
4. Each of us is a temple of God. Churches are built for fellowship and gathering of like-hearted Christians for worship and learning.
Was Shelley an atheist?

"How long will you hesitate"1Kings, 18:21
When I stumbled across these questions, I thought I'd try my best to answer some of them. 1)He is infinitely good, but we, having a sin nature within us are not. He has promised to judge the sins of men. You will not be able to attain a better lawyer.2) We shouldn't have doubts concerning our future, but again, that darker nature tends some within us still. 3)We don't need to warn him with our prayers, but rather to foster a relationship where we recognize that He is dependable in all circumstances, not just the ones we think critical. 4) I'd say that this is just to keep the construction market going.............
2.I have no doubts concerning my future because when I became saved, I put my future and my life in his hands and he has not failed me yet. I know who holds my future and I know he holds my hand.
If you you believe that Then why would any self respecting Christian vote for a man like Obama. You are pro choice tippy and you know what the church preaches about that.
Romans 8:37 says that we are "more than conquerors through him that loved us." God has put us at this time in history for a reason—to reveal His glory to the nations. At American Vision, we believe that our greatest opportunity for ministry is right on the horizon. The economic policies of the Left are doomed for failure because they steal wealth from producers and redistribute it to takers. Those elected officials who campaigned as conservatives but vote otherwise will eventually be exposed as compromisers. In the wake of failed promises for positive "change," Americans will be desperate for real solutions. In 1 Peter 3:15, God calls us to be ready with an answer.
Be Blessed.
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.
Hi Fred, I will not get into it with you concerning my salvation. I have been a devout Christian for the better part of 27 years. You weren't there when the Lord saved me. Yes, I voted for Obama because he was the best person for the job. I didn't vote pro-choice, or anti. There were other issues concerning this nation other than just the issue of a woman's right to choose. I have nothing to do with what a woman choose to do with her body. That is not my decision to make. It is between that woman and God.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I believe in life because it was given to us by the heavenly father. I would never take a human life. I also would never judge anyone because that is not my place to do so, it is God's. He gave us all free will and free choice to make our own decisions. If the heavenly father gave us free choice, why would I want to take someone Else's choice from them? I don't know that person's circumstances. I refuse to be condemned because I voted for the candidate of my choice. Thank you for quoting the scripture, however I know what the word of God says. I also know that he said to judge not lest ye be judged. If you have never committed a sin in your life, then I guess it is OK for you to judge the rest of us, but if you have sinned, you are in no position to judge others.......Be Blessed
1. He is awesome--beyond our human comprehension. It's not a "scared"-fear, but an awe-struck, reverance
2. We shouldn't have doubts... we should ultimately trust Him (and THAT is tough!)
3. Because He tells us to come to Him. He will always know what we need, but we need to go to Him, and when we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us. We must show a need for Him, first
4. I don't know... David did, the Babylonians destroyed one, the Greeks another (uhoh--the Maccabees... i forget.. they weren't necessarily "greeks"), the Romans destroyed one and there will be another one, someday.
The lowest servant in Heaven is still in Heaven.
Whoever rules in hell is still in hell, but they won't rule for long.
