What are you waiting for?  You will never know if you don't ask.  You can't win if you don't get into the game.  If you think that she kinda likes you, ask her out for coffee.  This will be a short date and you can get used to being around her a little.

Just don't change yourself to fit the situation.  You seem to be a decent guy, there are a lot of girls out there who are looking for that type of person.
