I am surprised that no one answered your question.
1.  Quality management is a senior job in the company.  The person in charge is responsible that the product will be it the required (or should I say: top) quality.  That means knowing the processes, the proceedures, the mateials, the people, etc, understanding what effects the quality and building measures to avoid any digradation of quality.
2.  Waste management is bringing the waste to a minimum.  That means, identifying all the reasons for waste and illiminating them (or bringing to the minimum).  Very challenging as well.
3.  Any operstion is built of processes,  If one wants to learn the operation in depth one must know each and every process to it's very detales. 
4.  The socio-economical structure of a company means who are the workers in general description (e:g: poor / minority / education / dissable / gender / etc - in %)
