I just got done putting in a new water heater evey thing went fine.except when I tightened up the water pipes one of them started leaking. It's a small leak from the threads from up above.I tried to tighten that pipe, but it won't budge.I tried to loosen it up as well to replace it or try to put some of that thread tape on it. How can I get that pipe to loosen up so I can take care of the problem?

Galvanized iron pipes tend to swell and seal themselves if it is a very small leak.  As far as taking it apart, if it doesn't seal itself use two pipe wrenches.  If you can't put enough force on the wrenches to get the pipes apart, use a piece of pipe as a handle extension to give you a mechanical advantage of leverage.
