What kind of puppy should I buy if I want a loyal dog that likes to lick?

I love affectionate dogs and I am in the market for a new puppy.  Any suggestions? Any one have puppy pictures they could share?

A boxer!  They are fun, silly, loving to all age's.  The harder you play with them the better they like it.  I was raised with boxer's so i guess i'm particular about them.  But they will love you!  Used to drive my pick-up and the dog would slide up to my side, lean on me  and put his head on the back of my neck going down the road.

Live, love, laugh and be happy & healthy

From my many years experience as a pet owner, I suggest going to your local animal shelter and pick out a lovable mutt.  I just lost my pet dog, Kelly, at the ripe old age of 16.  She was an 8 mo. old pup that someone just abandoned and I was lucky enough to get her.  She was the most loving, caring friend I've ever had.

Buy a daschund. Ours is so loyal, lovable and low maintenance.  By the way, we call him "mr. licky" although his real name is rosco.

Without any question a pure bred Pitbull yes i said a pitbull these are the most caring loyal  fun and NONviolent animals are great with children and care and protect their "family" remember the little rascals "Petey " yes a pibull helen kellers seeing eye dog yes a pitbull  the dog that forged the west with pioneers yes a pitbull we have had our youngest "boy" 2 years now and have never had the slightest regret  and as you can see a voice for these unfairly maligned and labeled animals . You will never regret the dog he will show you love beyond any other dog these animals love physical contact he is not happy sitting with us he must physically be contacting us  i could go on and on and so will you

I got a mini poodle one month ago after not owning a dog for 30 years.  His name is Teddy cause my 2 year old granddaughter thought he was a baby bear!  He was trained to go pee and poo on a pad the first day.  He does not shed, is non-hypoallergenic, and loves kids as well as adults.  He sleeps everynight in his kennel.

He is called a phamtom mini cause his paws and "mask" are beige.  He is a love bug.  Unfortunately last weekend he is so lovey that he and my granddaughter were exchanging tongue licks to the mouth.  Boy were they both quick!

My husband and I are both in love with our boy!

As a kid I had a boxer dog that was so sweet and licked so often that I called her my "three lick alarm clock". She'd wake me up by covering my face in three licks. don't know that you want that much licking...she was a wonderful dog though. Only barked at those that we had not invited to the house, solicitors and such.
