What kind of puppy should I buy if I want a loyal dog that likes to lick?

Get a labrador. I have one that is the most affectionate dog that I have ever had and they are quite intellegent.

A Labrador Retriever. They are the best dogs!!! We had ours for 16 years. She was great!

Jack russell,s are very fine dogs my female wants to lick me all the time.

Animal Shelters are a great place to start, Petfinders, I would'nt do the petstore thing as many buy from puppymills, and thats never a good thing. Puppy's love to lick. I have 5 rescue dogs and they are all very good pets. Good LUck. Adoption usually covers spay and neutering which is extremely important.

I agree adoption from a shelter is best way to go.  Our family is partial to Labs, they are lovable, loyal, great with kids and easy to train.
