Are girls more inclined to cram rather than learn (with understanding)? If so how does psychology explain this?

I don't think it's true. It seems like a rather rough generalization to make. Perhaps in the past this way of learning was fostered by men who didn't think women had the capability of understanding complex ideas but today I don't think it's the case.
