HELP! I'm seeing a guy whose words do not meet his actions. He seems to be very interested in me when we're around each other, however, he hardly ever calls me when we're apart and we both live in different cities. Is he seeing other people or is he actually that busy?

If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading

Without more information, it's really hard to tell what is going on.  I'll say this, it seems like he isn't paying you the attention you deserve and he seems quite selfish.  If you ever feel inclined to chat about this and get this truly resolved, click my profile.  Good luck

I'll offer the same advice I gave you in the other question you posted about this relationship - If you want to know what's going on, ask!

P.S. I do think the age difference between you may have a lot to do with it. By now, I am sure you realize that males and females mature at different rates; the fact that you are significantly older most likely means that the two of you are at different spots. You might keep that in mind as you contemplate whether you want to pursue a relationship with this man.

My thoughts are:  If a guy is really and truly interested in you, he will contact you one way or another when you are apart.

You have noted that "his words do not meet his actions"   That tells you something right there.

It doesn't matter at this point if he is seeing others or not.  His actions, when you are apart, tell you he's "just not into you."

Personally, I'd drop him like a hot potato right now.  NJoy

I agree with JKGrandma and NJoy, dirtysouth.  They gave excellent answers.

A very important thing to learn about relationships is to understand what needs to be in a relationship for you.   If you want a partnership with someone like what you are describing, then, great, go for it.  If, however, you want a loving committed relationship, this one is not for you.  You can ask/communicate with him, but, be careful when you get the answer from him.  Make sure, again, that whatever he tells you matches with what your needs are .

Out of sight, out of mind? I don't know but some people are not telephone people. They would rather talk to you in person.
