I find myself eating when I'm not hungry, or drinking something other than water for the taste. I'm in no way overweight and I'm extremey consious of my calorie intake and output in exersize. I fear I will become overweight, especially as I get older and my matabolism slows down. Is it possible I have an eating disorder or some other phychological issue?

I have the same thing too. Its normal. My friends do that too. I think it is either because you are bored. I do that. Also, I get made fun of because I am so tall ( 5"5' ) and I'm not in 6th grade yet! So, maybe you are sad for some reson.

Hi Nothungry, What you are describing can be normal (we all overeat emotionally occasionally). If it happens alot, however, and it starts to have a negative impact on your life, you might want to seek professional help. Sometimes the fear of being fat can exacerbate the whole issue and make it in to an issue that is a problem. You can work on the situation by yourself by becoming aware of your hunger and not eating unless you are actually hungry. Do not eat for any reason other than this. Find other, healthy ways to deal with emotions when they arise such as, going for a walk, journaling, talking to a friend, or any other non food activity that will not harm you in any way. Elena
