Find property owner by address, property records

Find property owner by address, free property records

Is it possible to find the owner of a property by using the street address only?

Thanks.

Ok, for those who find themselves in a similar position...

I managed to use Gov resources, a personal and property records search site.

I first checked Gov property owner address records to get the property owner's name,

and then I used the same site to also check detail of the property history at Gov property records searches

it's not a free site, but well worth the fee, considering all the different records one can check and the amount of information supplied,

it sure made my whole task a lot easier, I'd hate to think of the amount of time I would have spent running around between county clerk offices....

If this info has helped in any way, let me know by answering here,

Cheers

Here is a ranking of states based on property taxes from the lowest to the highest as of 2008. Alabama is the lowest.

Thanks, was looking for info on how to find the property owner by address.

I have neighbors who rent the property next door who have given me so much trouble with their kids and animals, so I need to contact the property owner.

I usually use my county government website and their GIS feature. I can look up properties by owner, address, etc., and also bring up copies of tax cards and get mailing addresses for the property owners

The tax collector is going to to tell you who the tax bill is being sent to, the county recorder will tell you whos name title is recorded in.

Chris, you asked the question and then answered it yourself (?).

I prefer a one stop site free public records resource site where I don't have to sign up, log in and then pay for the information. Most people don't realize that there are free government (state) sites that provide much of this property tax, homeowner, home value, boat and aircraft tax information for free: http://www.peopleferret.com/free-public-records.htm as a service to the public plus it reduces the states workload.

Using the above free public records search page as a starting point... If you wanted to locate the property tax information for a home, boat or aircraft in Orange County, CA. for instance, you'd click on the California link, scroll to the bottom of the page where it lists the "county tax assessors", click on Orange County, then on the official Orange County web page you'd click on "Pay/Review Property Taxes" and it would take you to this page: http://tax.ocgov.com/tcweb/search_page.asp where you would input the address, or parcel # etc., click "find" and it'll list the tax information for free - yep I said free.

Ba-Bam!  Free public records data, you just gotta know where to go to get it!

Enjoy and I hope this answered the question for many without forcing anyone to sign up, login and then gads... open your wallet or purse and fork over your hard earned cash!

It is very difficult if not impossible to find property owner address records for free.

The reason is that it costs THEM to accumulate  and store the information online. That is the reason why he best ones are pay service.
You also have to be explicit to the type of record. Births and deaths are not public records. They ARE govt records, but restricted for security/ risk of id theft. Historical ones can be found, in some cases.

Hope this helps
