What are some good examples of foods I can eat-small meals-between healthy breakfasts, lunch & dinners? I am an advanced exerciser who has ALWAYS eaten very healthy, but can't lose 10 lbs. I know I don't eat enough, but I'm not sure what to eat. I've been programmed to not eat snacks and now I need help. Thank you
Yogurt, granola bars, nuts, dried fruit, fruit, small salad, fiber bars, fat free jello, etc. Anything small and healthy, that will keep you going during the day is a good idea. Yogurts are granola, in my opinion, are the best.
If you're trying to build mass, you should probably increase you protein intake. You might want to try some shakes, just try to choose the brands that are high on protein and low on carbs. Or you can have some tuna and cottage cheese. If you need a quick fix of energy you can eat some dried fruit (especially before or during a strenuous workout).
I suggest you have two protein snacks and one carb-based (like a sandwich of two whole grain bread and pastrami or low fat cheese).
i've learned that eating foods for whats in them verses taste help for snacks. for example if your lacking calcium try yogurt low fat of course . but small salads or half a sandwhich or wrap helps too. sunflower seeds are also great. foods high in fiber help boost the metebolism and give energy.

You don't necessarily need more snacks to lose weight. Research doesn't necessarily show that more meals will lead to weight loss.
That being said, you just want to stick to whole, natural foods: fruits, vegetables, meats, etc. Watch out for sugar and flour - even smaller amounts in your diet can impede weight loss.
