This month my dr. put me on 200 mg of Clomid. I keep hearing from everyone that the maximum dosage is 150 mg. Am I taking too much? Also, I am told that my progesterone level should be at least 15. My first two months, I was only at level .8 with 50 mg and 100 mg. Last month, I was at level 1.8 with 150 mg. Do you think there is any hope of getting pg with my taking 200 mg?

I don't have any personal knowledge about doses - I read this question on inciid and... well, I guess you can read their answer as well as I can :-)
If you don't feel safe with the instructions this doctor has given you, you might want to consider getting a second opinion. With problems conceiving, like with any medical condition, it's important to feel confident in your doctor.

dosage is dependant upon basic parameters such as age, previous treatments and success etc. dose of 200 is a high one but it might be that your MD believes that this is exactly what you need, based on previous treatment. If

200 mg of clomid is not to much.b/c my dr.put me on 200 mg and got me on some sugar pill,and she said if that did not work she was going to give me 250 mg on clomid.

i also have pcos and i have been on clomid for the last 3 cycles
1st month i did ovulate but the Dr said it was not good enough
2nd month i was on 100mg but i didnt ovulate at all
3rd went up again to 150mg still didnt ovulate
iam taking some pills to start my period it should start in a couple more days then i will go back and my dose will go up to 200mg. the doctor said that these pills can go up to 5 a day
i have been trying on my own for 1 year. iam only 22 and iam having hell of problems. iam a little worried now
