First, figure out the exact cost of the ingredients to make each cake and then double that. ($7 for ingredients, then $14 for sale). For individual pieces or slices, divide the $14 by the number of slices, say 8 or 10 slices = approx. $1.50 per individual slice. Sounds fair and reasonalble.
