Pretty is largely defined by a particular society.
In P. Anthony's Geodyssey trilogy, there is a prophecy that says one of the characters will marry an ugly woman. He winds up marrying a woman that the primitive society that he lives in is considered beautiful. But, it turns out that she is very lazy, manipulative, and an adulteress. Hence, ugly.
Do not be conformed to societal's norms, but live your life in a fashion that is pleasing to GOD. People will see your beauty.
