What would you suggest me to bring as a present from Israel to my host family in Norway (I don't know them yet...The anonymous family will let me stay in their house for 10 days during a global students seminar)
I think that most people in other countries have a very misleading perception of what Israel is like. So I suggest an interesting photo book of Israel. I got the "Alex libac" book for an American friends and they were really excited about it. There's also those "Kav-Ha'ofek" books which shows Israel form a helicopter point of view. Another cool idea is a CD of some Israeli music, something contemporary with treditional influences, like Idan Raychel or Shoti-Ha'nevua (I don't like either, but they make a good gift. What can also be cool is an Israeli cook book in English with a lot of photos of Israeli food.
Wine is usually a safe bet, I guess brining a good Israeli wine would be nice.

I think it is a problem with liquids today on flights, I would say something from the Dead Sea, Europeans love it. A big "Hamsa" for good luck will do as well. Something regarding the holy city will always cause interest among the "Goim".
Hi,
A painting related to your country is great, and cheap if you choose a small size. Artists at http://www.paintyourlife.com/ will do that for you.
You simple upload from PC a picture of what you want painted. See more info http://www.paintyourlife.com/
