I am breastfeeding a 3 1/2 month old, so no menstruating. Have had some light cramping, and faint pink discharge. Could I be pregnant again? When I took a home pregnancy test the result was not (-) but a (|). Is there a difference?

Hi, I'm not familiar with the pregnancy test you're describing, but yes, you can get pregnant even while exclusively breastfeeding. My doctor said that if your baby is only breastfeeding, you can count on not conceiving only during the first 6-8 weeks(!)
I was exclusively breastfeeding my daughter when I discovered I was expecting. My daughters are a year apart...

Ok maybe you need to slow down. I heard that Breast feeding is a natural birth control so maybe your not. But what I don't understand is why would you want to have kids so close apart! People that do things like that are crazy! One child is enough. Twins, don't even get me started although they have an exscue, but kids that close together! Sleepless nights here we come. Your 3 month old is quiet now but watch out when he or she gets to start crawling. Your big belly and that active child aint gonna mix. My prayers go out to you if you are. Goodluck
um simply YES you could be pregnant and you can get pregnant 3 weeks after giving birth.
