Yes. twins can be conceived at different times, a week apart or like OronD said months apart which is very, very rare. I would think a lot of twins were not conceived at the same time.   halfbloodhawk is wrong. twins do not necessarily share the same sack.  Identical twins share the same sack.  Fraternal twins have separate sacks. I am a daughter of a twin, sister-in-law of twins, and mother of twins.
