You might experiencing a fertility problem. I suggest that you consult your doctor about that, as it is impossible to determine the problem without taking medical tests.

Fertility Stories - infertility experiences of people like you.

It sounds like what you're doing is right... Sometimes it just takes a while. Under a year is considered normal, though about 80% of women with no fertility problem will become pregnant in the first 6 months of trying.

For now, try to learn your cycle and then know that about 17 days before you get your period, for approximately 5 days, is your most fertile time.

Once you've been trying for a full year, it's worth making an appointment to see if there might be a fertility issue - but not before then, unless you're over 35.

Good luck!

Also keep in mind, that the more sex a man has the lower the sperm count, so it might help to go a couple of days in between trying.

Don't forget that stress can affect fertility - if you place too much importance or emphasis on falling pregnant you may undermine yourself and prevent yourself from achieveing that very thing.  Eat healthily, have fun but don't beat yourself up if it doesn't happen straight away.

And remember - having unprotected sex for a prolonged period of time with the same man will assist in conceiving as your body stops identifying the sperm as foreign material and stops fighting so hard to stop them from 'gaining access' to the egg.

Take it easy and good luck.

If you are trying to get pregnant you should talk to you OB/GYN. If your wondering why yu didn't? This also happened to me when I was 18 and 19. I was told that I don't ovulate regularly. go get checked by a DR. I did have one child.
