A:

Well Mr. Jones, both you and Mr. Smith should both be pleased to know that in general not much is known by the public when it comes to the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) beyond the public disclosure of publication 19981105 002, A Joint Program Of The Air Force Research Laboratory And The Office Of Naval Research.

Senator McCain’s only possible official link with HAARP would likely be as the Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Armed Services.

He also sits on the following subcommittees that HAARP might be a subject of:

Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities

Subcommittee on Readiness and Management Support

Subcommittee on Sea Power

Subcommittee on Strategic Forces

Senator McCain also sits on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation that may or may not also be a party to HAARP.

He also sits on the Subcommittee on Science, Technology and Innovation which may or may not also be a party to HAARP.

Barack Hussein Obama sits on none of these committees but several leading Democrats like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy sit on all of them along with John McCain.

My research shows that John McCain played no legislative role in the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 and more specifically Title III of the act known as the Digital TV Transition & Public Safety Act.

Because HAARP utilizes the atmosphere, ionosphere, magnetosphere

The presence of charged particles in the ionosphere controls the performance of many military and civilian systems using electromagnetic waves. On the low frequency end (VLF/ULF/HF), reflection of radio waves by the ionosphere allows for worldwide communications and Over-the-Horizon (OTH) radar operation. On the higher frequency end (VHF/UHF) trans-ionospheric propogation is a ubiquitous element of numerous civilian and military communication, surveillance, and remote sensing systems. Paths linking satellites to the ground cross the ionosphere, and the system performance is often critically dependent on the state and structure of the ionosphere in the vicinity of these paths.

The HF Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) is based on a HF transmitter and complement of diagnostics located in Gakona Alaska. The location of the HF transmitter underneath the electrodynamic circuit and the power and flexibility of operation, based on use of today’s most sophisticated allows it to exert control of charged particles in the ionosphere by literally closing the circuit naturally created by the solar wind. The ionosphere controls the performance of many military and civilian systems using electromagnetic waves. On the low frequency end (VLF/ULF/HF), reflection of radio waves by the ionosphere allows for worldwide communications and Over-the-Horizon (OTH) radar operation. Paths linking satellites to the ground cross the ionosphere, and the system performance is often critically dependent on the state and structure of the ionosphere in the vicinity of these paths. Scientifically HAARP is being put forth as simply an instrument to improve communications on both earth and from space based satellites to earth. Militarily proponents see it as a means to effectively communicate with deep sea submarines on patrol and subterranean facilities embedded deep under ground.

While many U.S. citizens scratch their heads at the fact that one of the few definitive laws Congress has passed in over a decade to help citizens is mandating digital cable, few if any are aware that to utilize HAARP on a full power, frequently used scale would actually knock their current TV stations right off the air because it generates so much power within those frequencies.

It’s potential as a legitimate military weapon is more impressive than when Einstein split the Atom. It’s potential for causing weather related events are not to be diminished nor can use of it’s high frequencies being utilized to target faults in the tectonic plates to trigger earthquakes. Others contend it is capable of shooting colored particles into the air similar to those seen by the natural occurring aurora borealis and that HAARP is capable of rendering holographic images in this fashion. Others theorize it could displace entire sections of the ionosphere by uplifting them or forcing them down to either cause ballistic missiles to loose their trajectory or to actually simulate the displacement of a nuclear explosion on the ground without the radiation or need for a missile or bomb based delivery. Militarily we might never be informed of just what HAARP is capable of.

Some speculate it has already been used to cause Hurricanes such as Katrina so the government could run real life scenarios of how a major city would react in the event of it’s destruction and subsequent isolation caused by it’s destruction, as well as earthquakes such as the one that hit China this summer, which destroyed a large part of China’s lucrative and vital manufacturing zone.

Speculative tie-ins to McCain would be Hurricane Gustav deliberately overshadowing the Republican National Convention and being utilized as a legitimate means to keep an unpopular President Bush from attending the Convention.

Additional potential tie-ins would be the selection of his running mate Governor Sarah Pallin of Alaska, who’s state is home to the HAARP and population of concerned citizens wondering just what all the miles and miles of transmitters and generators set out in such a massive array aimed at accessing the Solar Wind and harnessing it throughout the ionosphere, magnetosphere and atmosphere might mean to their own health, safety and welfare.

HAARP remains a much more enigmatic question mark than does the aging and increasingly irrelevant Senator John McCain.
